Use these free calculators to estimate how long your UPS batteries will last, how large a battery bank you need, and how long batteries should live at your site temperature. Results are engineering estimates for planning. For a firm figure, we recommend a site assessment and a load-bank test by our team in Amman.
How long your batteries will carry a given load.
How much battery capacity you need for a required runtime.
Expected design life at your room temperature.
Backup time depends on the battery capacity (Ah), the battery voltage, the load in watts and the battery type. Real runtime is shorter than a simple capacity ÷ load sum, because batteries deliver less at higher discharge rates. Our Backup Time calculator takes this into account and gives a planning estimate.
Start with the load you need to protect and the runtime you need, then choose the battery type and system voltage. Our Bank Sizing calculator suggests a capacity and battery size. Always allow for ageing and a safety margin, and confirm the design with an engineer before ordering.
Heat shortens battery life. As a common rule of thumb, design life roughly halves for every 10°C above 25°C. A battery room kept near 25°C will last noticeably longer than one running hot. Our Battery Life calculator shows the effect for your site temperature.
Yes. A load-bank test discharges the battery under a known load and measures how long it actually holds up, so you see real capacity rather than an estimate. Sustainability Experts offers load-bank testing in Jordan. See our Load Bank Testing page or contact us to arrange one.
